Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in California

Special Needs Trust

I have a son who is autistic. He will be turning 18 next December and is currently living in a group home.

What should I start doing now to prepare for a transition to an adulthood?

Sounds like it's time for a conservatorship at least and maybe an SNT also. Call my office and ask for Jennifer. She is our attorney who focuses on these areas of law! We do work throughout California.

One option to consider is whether you want to become your son's conservator, which (if granted) will give you the legal authority to make decisions for him.

Please call my office if you would like to set up a free consultation.
