Legal Question in Workers Comp in California

Can I still file a claim.

I slipped at work back in Feb. and didn't realize how bad I hurt myself until a week later. I was laid off that week. I did inform my supervisor and manager of the fall immediately. No injury report was filed I have been on unemployment ever since. I have had constant pain since one week after the fall. I contacted my former employer two months ago and just finally was told to come down and fill out papaerwork. Can I still file a workmans comp claim and qualify for benefits???

yes, you have one year in which to file a claim.
