Legal Question in Workers Comp in California

I injured my sholder at & while I was out of work I suffered a breakdown. Once my sholder was perm. & stationary WC stopped paying. Since then I have been deemed disabled & IME determined the breakdown was caused from my sholder problems...WC is reimburseing me for medical out of pocket $ for meds etc. Do they have to send me my back WC since they stopped paying prior to IME's report?
