wife injured at work.loss of consortium

if my wife was injured and her injuries are the lower extremity, back, hip pelvic shoulder, is it possible for a husband to sue the employer for negligence or to sue the workmen's comp. insurer?

No, you can not sue anyone working for the employer or the employer because that is the trade off of getting compensated even though the employer was not at fault. What has the insurance carrier done that would open it to suit; it merely agrees to defend its policy holders up to a certain amount of damages.
