Legal Question in Workers Comp in California

If a worker is hurt after 1/2 hour, how many hours does the Employer pay him for that day?

Absent any terms in the employment contract dealing with that issue, I would assume the worker would be paid for 1/2 hours and would get a pro rate portion of the normal temporary disability benefits for the rest of the work day.
