Legal Question in Family Law in Canada

I recently separated from my husband (we reside in BC), and his sister is using a Power of Attorney that was given to her prior to my marrying my husband to move assets and bank accounts (on his behalf). Is this legal to do so?

Powers of Attorney are not revoked by a change in marital status, but as you are separated it is in your interest to obtain an order "freezing" the assets so that no one can move them. You need to consult a lawyer immediately, in order to protect yourself.
