was told if I didn' pay,recovery co. would put out warrant.Check recovery is in georgia,is this lega

Recovery co. cannot issue the warrant, the court must. That's in Colorado. In Georgia, I do not know the proceedures.

If in Colorado, the Revocery co. should have said "pay or we'll get a warrant."

Either way, determine whether you received goods or services that the check was for. If you did, you should pay.
