Legal Question in Criminal Law in Colorado

Okay so i got a third degree assault charge a couple nights ago on another eighteen year old. I got into a fight but i hit the kid only once it the face after that i walked away but he continued to try and fight me. There was not another fight and me and my group of friends left. I have an eye witness though that says that the group of people with the other person left the crime scene, caused personal harm to oneself, then continued to return to the scene of the crime and hour later. When the group of people returned they then called the police and filed a police report stating that i caused the harm that the kid or one of his friends afflicted to him. What will the court do and say?

Well, how did the fight start?

Self defense is when you reasonably believe the other person is going to harm you or another. You can throw the first punch, but it is always better if you are second.

Do not talk to police or prosecution without an attorney.
