Legal Question in Criminal Law in Colorado
Statuatory Rape
A man I know was 20 and he was pursued by a 15 year old who told him in text messages that she was 18 and also listed her age on a social networking site as 18. After the fact, it came out that she was only 15. (In Colorado) Does the fact that she lied have any bearing? If so, what does the law expect you to do, ask for proof of age?

Re: Statuatory Rape
The fact that she lied does matter. It will help in aggravation. Just asking for proof of age is not enough, anyway. Has trial been held yet?
