Re: Power of Attorney of a child

In Colorado, a parent cannot assign away his or her parental rights. The prison inmate cannot simply relinquish his parental rights to his mother. However, the mother can petition for guardianship of the child, and that petition can be supported by the prison inmate. Please feel free to email or call me to discuss this in further depth.
