garnishment

My paycheck is being garnished and the amount they take does not allow me enough to pay my bills, rent or car payment. I was wondering if there is a way to petition the court to lower the amount they garnish out of each paycheck

Yes, petition the court; file a motion for a hearing to adjust the garnishment. Bring your proof to the hearing.
