Legal Question in Business Law in Connecticut

civil action required

I have a customer that gave me a deposite for some electronics several months ago. He was in the begining stages of remodeling his home theater room so installation of the products was to be determined. Sever months went buy before he was ready to install during that time I have gone thru very hard fincial time and can no longer install his equiptment. A police officer called my house today and said he filed a complaint and to call the officer back. My question is should I have an attourney ? Is this a criminal matter? Can I claim it in brankuptcy? Should I call the police officer back without an attourney?

Re: civil action required

I would advise to consult an attorney (see below contact info.) prior to any communication with the police. It may be a minor matter that is not criminal but that is for an attorney to determine and best protect your interests.
