Legal Question in Business Law in Connecticut

Give or take ?

My dad gave my brother and i equal shares of a small c corp25 yrs ago. We've both been equally sharing the running of the buisness since. Brother wants me to give my shares to his kids who are in the buisness, when i leave. I feel i should be bought out at half an appraised value. Even over time. Do i have any right?

Of course. Stock is property - ownership of the company - and just as if you had a house, car or boat, it may be given away but you would most likely want to sell it. Stock sales usually should have a lawyer involed, so if you like, give me a call. 860.786.8763
