medical debt prior to marriage

My boyfriend has a large medical debt. If we get married, can they come after my salary or house. The house in in my name only.

Pre-marital debt belongs to him. However, make sure you do not put anything in Joint Title until the debt is paid.

If they get a judgment they can freeze your joint bank acct and it will be up to you to prove how much of the $$ was yours.
