Legal Question in Family Law in Connecticut

Non Custodial Parenting Rights

What parental rights are unique to the

custodial parent that are not shared by

the non-custodial parent? I have joint

legal custody and liberal visitation

however my ex-wife often claims that

she has rights that I do not because

she is the custodial parent. Where can I

find more information on this topic?

Thank you

Re: Non Custodial Parenting Rights

My guess is you have joint legal custody with primary residence with the mother. If that's the case, you are supposed to share decision-making on big issues (health, private school, major activities), but Mom gets sole decision-making for day-to-day items (can they go to the movies tonight, birthday party at Chuckee Cheese is on for Saturday).
