Legal Question in Family Law in Connecticut

Question regarding rights of staying in our home

My husband served me with divorce papers today. We were married on 4-14-01. The home we live in is my husbands. He purchased it before we met. When we met I worked full time, however my husband wanted me to be home and per his request I resigned. I presently work part time as a sales associate, in a store that is closing at the end of this month. I have four children by a previous marriage which i have shared custody of. Can my husband tell us to leave his house before the divorce? What are my rights in this area?

Re: Question regarding rights of staying in our home

Your husband can make a motion for exclusive possession of the house. However, court is not likely to put a mother and four kids on the street..
