Legal Question in Family Law in Connecticut

hi my simple questions is my wife took her ex husband to court to raise child support, it was granted, but the state of connecticut still collects only the old amount. upon calling the state of connecticut (which collects the child support) they told her they never recieved anything and that it was her responsibility to bring them the new court order, and to bring the new court ordered child support to his employment and show his boss so that the new amount should be garnished properly, is this true? or is it his responsibility also would she be able to get the difference in the amount that has not been paid since they went to court?

It is her responsibility to bring the new court order to child support enforcement so they can process the new order. Usually they will take care of increasing the garnishment on his check, however, if they told her to do it, then she should send a certified copy of the new order to his employer. If the employer will not do it then she has to go back to child support enforcement and tell them they have to do it. Yes, she can colllect the amount that is owed from the date of the new order. He is responsible for paying it even if it didn't come out of his check.
