Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Connecticut

I live in a condo complex. The landscaping crew that the association hires left a garbage can directly behind our garage door. My girlfriend didn't see it and backed up into it scratching her car? It was their garbage can, we don't have any garbage cans in the complex only a central dumpster. Are they responsible for the damages?

Maybe. You didn't say how much the damage is. You could make a claim and if they won't pay sue them.
