Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Connecticut

Hello, I was sent a letter from my landlord stating that I have a two people living with me that are not on the lease. The two people are my parents and they do not live with me. I called the office and I explain to them that they do not live with me. She stated I have to show them proof by bringing them my parents lease and a utility bill. I could provide this information to them but I just want to know is it legal for them to ask or even have a copy of my parents lease? Thank You

I don't think they should be entitled to this information unless there is language in your lease that states this. The burden should be on th landlord, not your parents!
