change attorney

I was seriously injured at work four years ago and my attorney wants me to close out my case which I am against, can I discharge my attorney and seek new counsel

Yes you can. The case is yours and you can do what you want with it. Whatever you pay in attorneys fees would remain the same, it would just be divided between the attorneys. There may be advantages to closing out a case. Closing the case will also affect any Social Security Disability or Medicare benefits you are getting or might expect to be getting in the future. Your attorney should discuss all of this with you. You may also discuss this with another attorney and I would be happy to make an appointment with you to go over all of this.
