Legal Question in Employment Law in Delaware

Non payment of services rendered

My husband was working for an independent contractor who was repairing, painting a home. My husband worked for two weeks painting the home and was never paid. The contractor will not return calls and has since had our phone number blocked. We have now learned that another gentlemen that was working for the independent contractor repairing the same home as my husband has not been paid either. What can we do, since my husband did not have any paperwork i.e. employment application and was essentially working under the table. Please advise. Thank you.

Re: Non payment of services rendered

You can bring a claim against the contractor, and you may also lien the home that was painted.

I'll need more details to advise you, but call or e=mail anytime.
