Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Florida

Could I be refused Bankrupcy

I am a 25 year old single mother of a 4 year old. I got over my head in credit card debt over a five year period. I tried to work with CCCS to get my bills under control but I watched my debt go up in some cases and then my daughter got but by a dog leaving me with medicals bills over $4000.00. Her father and I live together and he helps with household bills but he only makes $8.00 and hour and I work a part-time $9.00 job. I haven't been able to pay my credit card bills in six months (they equal out ot about $10,000 not including my car payment) and the doctor fees have a $50.00 a month interest charge a month. I am overwelmed. I think I need to declare bankrupcy but I am afraid they will deny me. What should I do? At the end of each month, I have nothing left over and am looking at a part time job to save for Christmas. I don't know what to do, again, I am so afraid they will deny me.

Wishing I never saw Credit Cards!

In Fla. Could You be refused Bankrupcy ?

If you lie or commit fraud or haven't lived in Fla. long enough, then you could be refused bankruptcy. You need to be a little more positive in your approach and outlook. What have you got to lose is a better attitude for you.Call Legal Aid for a referral to a Low fee panel member and get a free consult. Then you will know if you qualify and how much it will cost. You also need to check out the dog bite matter to see if there is anything that can be done to recover for it.
