Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Florida

injuction

My friend has an injuction against him. If the lady that put the injunction against him, calls him and he talks to her is this a violation of the injuction?

Re: injuction

Yes. I assume this is an Injunction for Protection Against Domestic Violence. In layman's terms, it is a restraining order. In Florida, if someone has a restraining order against you, then you cannot talk to them directly or indirectly through 3rd parties. Also, you cannot send them letters, e-mails, faxes, etc. I would recommend to your friend that he just not take her calls and let them go to voicemail.
