Legal Question in Construction Law in Florida

I am a roofing--name removed--i have a contract between myself and a homeowner the contract is for 1875 re-roof for back porch 5yr warr. the homeowner sold the house 2yrs. since install new homeowner contacted me with roof issues poor workmanship/2-3 sm. leaks am i obligated to honor contract , does the new homeowner have any legal recourse

I would think that the answer to your question would largely depend upon how your warranty reads. I am not sure how a subsequent owner could sue you for breach of contract by not honoring the warranty if you did not contract with that subsequent owner, but I do not know the answer to your question without actually looking up the answer or being able to see your warranty.

Probably not -- but it would depend on the soecific wording of the warranty and whether it was transferable.
