Free legal question

I live in st petersburg florida and a friend has asked me to cosign with her in purchase of a new automobile with a price of $20000. What are my responsibilities and recourses in this matter

You become responsible for any injuries or damages she negligently causes when driving the car. There are limitations on your responsibility, depending on the coverage of others, but in essence, you become responsible for her negligence. If you are signing on to the loan too, you becomne responsible if for some reason she stops paying.

There is no reason acsertainable from your post that you should even consider doing this.
