Legal Question in Consumer Law in Florida

refunds and the law

Bought a TV off a guy who runs a ebay store. I didnt go through ebay, just through him. His ebay store had a 99 rating. Here i find out he is going through some sort of inurance adjuster to get good prices, i found this out by contacting a former buyer. Well, i hadnt heard from this guy after a week - my check had already cleared.....so i contacted the compnay he goes through to get the TV's to get a shipping number. They had no record of me and were shocked he was running auctions and going through them. They contacted him and he called me up, ripping into me for telling them he ran a ebay store etc....and that he lost his distributor lisence though mitshubshi.....i was like WTF? Anyway he talls me he will refund my money, I was like WHEN! He said when he feels like it.......What are my legal options here? He just cant hold that money hostage can he?

Re: refunds and the law

He has breached the contract and you can sue him. The amount involved probably isn't worth the hassel if you can try to work it out with him nicely. You can always sue, but that takes time as well.
