I am 74 years old and a woman. I accumulated approximately 247.000 points with Marriot First Card through the years. I had an argument over a $30. annual charge and cancelled my card. They never indicated I would lose my points; They said the points would be good. Now they say no. I had a business and charged everything on my card to accumulate these points and of course we always stayed at Marriot to accrue even more points; If I had been told the card cancellation would negate my points, I would not have done it. This represents at least 4 trips to Europe or some very expensive products in exchange for the points. I would like to retrieve these points. I am willing to reestablish my card. I really feel like I am being discrimated against.

I suggest you read your credit card agreement to see whether the points are lost once you discontinue the card.
