Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Florida

credit card debt

I have been in a battle with Citbank for over 5 years on a credit card. I have refused to pay as the charges are due to identity theft charges. They have been denied a judgment in court and denied anyting else they tried. My question is I have a CD in the bank in the corporations name, they are suing me personall. Can they go after the CD? My concern is the CD is in Wachovia bank and Citi just bought Wachovia. Can they touch the Cd

Re: credit card debt

Most account agreements allow banks to do a lot of things that you might not believe. You should immediately request a written copy of your account agreement. In addition, when Citibank acquires Wachovia, they may freeze your account. You should consult with an attorney immediately.
