Hello, I am moving out of the country and need to give my car back to the bank. Can the bank come after me for the debt if I am out of the country?

Re: Voluntary Reposession

It is highly unlikely that they would do so. They will probably collect on you and report it to the credit bureaus, but that is about as far as it will go. Plus, turning the car in is going to make them less likely to pursue you since you gave them something of value in return for the debt that you owed them.
