Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Florida

Release from Timeshare

I can't sell or give away our timeshare. It has changed hands 3 times in the 9 years we've had it & fees go up alot every year. We are elderly-77 & 66 & because of health issues can't use our week any longer. We owe nothing on it and want to give it back. They are requiring us to pay 2009 fees of about $1100 before doing a mutual release. We were unable to use the timeshare in 2008 although we paid the fees for the year. What can we do? We have always had good credit and they are threatning us with a collection agency, lawyer, etc.

Re: Release from Timeshare

SEnd them a deed for your share and see if they accept.
