help quick question

my cousin gun went off by acceident in his apt he told the police and he was arrested for discharging a firearm in public can he get convicted in trail even if it was an acciedent

It sounds like your cousin has a problem. I have never known a gun to spontaniously fire, that is without someone pulling the trigger. That should provide a novel defense.

If he did pull the trigger as I suspect, he will have to come up with a defense other than it was an accident.
