Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida

Sex offender registration

my fiance was dating a girl who was 15 when we were in high school. (He is 30 now) When he turned 18 her parents had charges brought against him. His lawyer advised that he just plead guilty or he was going to chance getting jail time. Scared to death, that's what he did. Now ever time he moves he has to register and keep his address and information on the public sex offender data base with the charge ''lewd and lacivious acts on a child under the age of 16'' People think he's a child molester, is there anything we can do so that he no longer has to register? He's been off probation for years.
