Legal Question in DUI Law in Florida

I have a DUI charge in Florida from 5 years ago,in addition to some unpaid tickets.Recently I received a letter from my current state of residence(Tx),stating that my license is going to be canceled as a result.I have had my license here for 5 years and has been in good standing(up until now).

Are there any time limitations on this charge?

If,by chance, the arresting officer is no longer with the force, would that help?

What are my options?

If you resolved your case, then this is an administrative matter being handled by the DMV and is not going to turn on whether the officer is still on the force or otherwise available. If, on the other hand, you have not resoved your DUI, then there are other issues that may be relevant to your case and possible defenses that could impact the viability of the State's case against you. I don't suggest you put any of that information on an unsecured internet sight that may be accessible to the prosecution. I would encourage you to seek legal counsel.
