Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

Child support for Shared Parenting

I am giving my Husband primary residence of our three small children, maily because I dont want the fight. I will see them every day for the same amount as him. The only difference will be that they will spend the night swith him most of the time. The afternoons will be with me. I have agreed to pay the kids' health insurance, but my H wont let me put them on my policy, says that I am unstabe in the work place. Oh well.

He wants me to pay $400.00 for the first year and then move up to $500.00 after that. Two of our kids will be school this year and the third will be going in two years. I want to know what the laws for Florida are for shared parenting. I am scared to go to court to fight this, because I am afraid if I loose I will end up paying more. Am I getting a good deal here. I will support my kids, I am not a Deadbeat Mom. I just dont think that if we will have equal shared time and custody, that I should have to pay so much. maybe I am wrong.

Also we are trying to avoid costs so that this money can go to our kids, any advice on solving this battle on our own and divorcing without court battles? Is there anyplace on line that can help?

Thanks

Re: Child support for Shared Parenting

Don't be so eager to agree without knowing your rights. It may not be a battle after all. It depends on the facts of the case. You may be able to have the kids reside with you and give him visitation that would satisy him. Feel free to contact me for a free consultation.(954) 966-4140, Melody Stickel-Martinez, Esq.
