Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

my daughter is 4 almost 5 and her father has not signed her birth certificate. he has been in and out of her life since she was born. he just now this year started to spend time with her under supervised visits with his mom once a week. we do not speak because i have a 10 year restraining order against him. im wondering if the restraining order would interfere with me applying for child support since he is attempting to start a relationship with her now its only fair that he helps finacially.

I'm surprised that you have not filed before. Just because he pays does not mean he gets visitation rights. He would have to file for those. Contact the Dept of Revenue, Child Support Enforcement division and get them to file papers and get support for your child.

You are entitled to child support, so file for it.
