Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

Dental payment

My exhusband carriers dental insurance on our two sons. However, he is not required to in our divorce settlement. I recently received a bill from a collection agency for 3 dental bills from two years ago. I contacted the dentist and found out an insurance check was issued to the subscriber (exhusband). I contacted the insurance company and found out they issused checks to my exhusband for the bills the dentist submitted to them. The checks were cashed by my exhusband however he did not pay the dentist. Now I have to pay the dentist. Can I file contempt charges against him for the amount he was given by the insurance company.

Re: Dental payment

While you may have a remedy, contempt is not it.
