Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

Divorce

I am going through a divorce and my soon to be ex has moved out and is living w/ his girlfriend. I have since changed the locks on the house. He has advised me that I am not allowed to do that since he is paying 1/2 mortgage--we have not gone to court yet to finalize the divorce. My question is :: Since he has moved out and established residency in another house, can I legally change the locks on the house?

Re: Divorce

Yes, you can legally change the locks, but remember that nothing forces him to pay half the mortgage except his credit score and the risk of foreclosure.
