Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

There exists a brokerage account in the name of me AND my ex-wife. About 4K. It apparently was overlooked when we did our property settlement. I wrote my ex-wife a while ago and suggested we split it 50-50; she did not reply, and the letter did not come back either.

What can I do in this situation? The brokerage will issue a check to me AND her.

At that time we were both residents of New York, where she still lives, so far as I know. I presently reside in Florida. Thank you.

You have to get some kind of order in your case that says the money is yours.

Use of a lawyer is recommended.
