Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

Me and my fiancee just recently broke up, I am 8 months pregnant and we also have a 2 year old little girl who is currently living with me. i am not working due to pregnancy and have almost run out of all of my savings. but in Nov. my ex will be receiving a lump sum of 12,000.00. i need to know am i entitled to any of that money? also if I am, is there a way for me to make sure that I get what is owed to me straight from the court or lawyer before he gets his hands on any of the money? * i have not filed for child support yet.

You are entitled to child support, and most judges will award you reasonable medical expenses and other expenses related to the birth. You didn't say why he's getting the $12,000, so I don't know if you are entitled to any of it, but since you aren't married, I would doubt that you are entitled to any of the money.
