Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

How much FL child support do I have to pay?

My wife of 10 years left me about a year and a half ago after I was fired from a job in MO. She and my 3 year old daughter moved back home to her parents in Plant City, FL. She is just now getting around to filing for a divorce and I agree with all the terms. It is a no fault with no allimony but the question of how much child support I am required to pay concerns me. I paid my future ex $200 a month ever since she left me. Bear in mind that it was not my idea to split up nor did I want to do so but I agreed to let her go and not fight. I only gross $1842 a month and her attorney says my part of child support will be $535 a month. This seems a bit high to me. If I owe that much then I intend to pay it but I want to make sure that is a correct figure. Please help if possible and let me know if there are any questions I didnt cover. I reside in MS now.

Thanks,

T. W.

You need to contact an attorney in Flordia to see the percentage of child support for one child. You may check on the internet for a Flordia child support calculator.
