Legal Question in Family Law in Florida
My husband (Indian citizen) and I (German citizen) got married on May 17, 2006 on Marco Island, Florida. We were both working and livng in Naples, Florida from 2005 - 2008. After that we moved to India. I just returned from India and I am now settling in Germany. My husband is residing in India.
The marriage has only been registered in Florida, not in Germany and not in India. Now we want to file for a divorce. Please let me know if we can do this in Florida or if we have to do it in one of our home countries. It will be an uncontested divorce and there are no children.

You cannot divorce in Florida since you are not a resident here. You will have to speak with German and Indian lawyers to see if you can file in either of those places.
