Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

Ex husband has a new job that requires out of state travel for unspecified amounts of time. I have not been notified by him, I was made aware by my 15 year old son. My ex husband has been sending our son to someones home during his out of state trips, without my acknowledgement. This is a direct breech of our divorce agreement which specifies that if either parent is unable to care for the child the other parent will have first rights to caring for the child. In addition I am unaware if this persons home is fit for my childs care, he has told me he has been sleeping on their floor. I requested to speak with my ex husband about this issue and he refused. I am not represented by legal counsel. What should I do?

You should file a motion to enforce the provisions of your final judgment. Clearly he cannot do that with the child and the court will react harshly towards him. Contact my office for free consultation 727-446-7659.

file a motion for contempt/enforcement - also file a motion for testimony of child - your son is old enough to state the facts before a judge. If I can be of assistance please contact my office for an appointment
