Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

I have an income deduction order my ex is not paying.Since last year he claimed he has been laid off. If he receives unemployment does he needs to pay child support? I got a letter in the mail he's taking em to court general magistrate.To reduce child support and dismiss what he owes. Is this possible?
