Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

I have been living with my aunt since I was five and a half years old. My parents decided to give me to my aunt because they were at the time incapable of taking care of me. I am 22 years old now and my aunt never got custody of me, she tried adopting me but my biological parents refused. I have mental problems and a learning disability and I receive a check for it. I was wondering if I want to go back to my biological parents can she legally stop me? She has threatened me by saying that I have to go through a lawyer in order to leave. But I want to know if I can just leave and go back to my biological parents without having to worry about going through a lawyer or have any complications with the law?

She may not have adopted you but she may have legal guardianship over you. YOu would have to gather more information on that through the courts

Your biological parents have to file a case to end the guardianship and get custody of you.
