Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

I just want peace!

My ex and I have already divorced and have a visitation order. The problem is I desperately need to modify or clarify some of the visitation schedule, his attorney who prepared the order made some conflicting and unclear statements which has caused endless conflict- which he thrives on. The order was set in Broward County, because that is where he lived and filed. I have lived in Sarasota county for 3 years, approx. 2 years BEFORE the visitation hearing. He has now moved out of Broward County, to Jupiter and I would like to have the modification hearing I am requesting in my county (Sarasota)-this is our daughters residence and has been for a substantial time. How can I move the case to Sarasota county? I would like to not have to spend the rest of my life fighting with him, but he will never let that happen, so if he insists on this constant misery, why should I have to drive across the state every time he comes up with a new fib to tell the judge? Again, he now is no longer within the jurisdiction of the 17th circuit either, will I be able to move the case?? Please help!I believe his goal is to ensure that I am as distraught and fearful as he can possibly make me, and unfortunately he is succeeding.

Re: I just want peace!

Suggest you retain an attorney in Sarasota who can help you change venue and seek a court modification. Good luck.
