Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Florida

I am in the discovery phase of a civil case that an attorney took on a contigency, I however am not happy with my attorney. My question is can I change attorneys at this point?

Yes, but the attorney is entitled to a fee for his work which will be claimed at the end of your case if successful.

You can always switch attorneys, but the fee will have to be divided between your new attorney and the current attorney. We would be happy to discuss the situation with you.

You should arrange an in person meeting with your lawyer to discuss your reasons for being unhappy before you discharge him. No lawyer wants to represent a client on contingency who is not fully happy and cooerative.. Try to resolve your concerns as your next lawyer could be worse. You right to change is covered in the "Statement of Client's Rights"you were given. If you read it you would not have asked this question. There are bad lawyers, and bad clients. A bad client will never find a good lawyer.
