Unfortunately there are abuses with the domestic violence injunctions. Bring witnesses to the hearing who can tell the truth about what happened. Do not agree to the injunction as there are consequences to an injunction beyond having to stay away from the person. It could affect your right to own a weapon or to pursue certain jobs or housing.

Be prepared to testify at the hearing and prepare your witnesses. Be respectfully to the court and to the other side.

There is no recourse against someone who lies to get a temporary restraining order unless the court is convinced that they are lying. Then it would be up to the court, to find them in contempt.
