Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Florida

I remember reading somewhere that if you already have a lawyer and you are involved in another non related legal situation then by law you can't sign any other non related documents with out the lawyer you have obtained being present. Even though the signing of another document is not related to what you have hired the lawyer for. Is this true?
