Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Florida

I use the social networking site called facebook. Recently I have been receiving emails saying my account has been activated, deactivated, receiving messages from people I don't know. I THEN realized that there is a girl with the same name as me and a very similar email as mine who I can see everything on her page (as though I am the page's creator), so she can probably view all mine. The other girl is someone who lives over 1000 miles away. I am very scared that my personal information and security (credit card numbers included) could be compromised. Is there any legal ramifications for facebook for not doing a better job of checking people's information?
