Doctor appointments and sick time

5 employees out of approx. 40 received an email from our Dir. of Admin. today that requires us to make special arrangements for our doctor appts while our employee handbook states we are only required a doctor's note if we are out for 3 consecutive days. Is this not discrimination and illegal?

Probably not. Depends upon the reason and the company's policy on the matter.
